An Israeli man was stabbed in the head and shoulder near Neve Daniel in the West Bank in a suspected terror attack on Tuesday.
Tomer Ditur, 28, was stabbed at around 5:00 PM local time and is in moderate condition, Ynet reported. Security forces have begun a major manhunt to track down his assailant, who fled after the attack. According to initial reports, the man was jogging by himself when he was stabbed, and continued towards Neve Daniel where he was assisted by a security guard. He received emergency medical treatment before being evacuated to the Shaare Zedek medical center in Jerusalem.

A paramedic quoted by The Times of Israel said Ditur was conscious when emergency responders first arrived. “We gave him medical treatment, including stopping the bleeding and bandaging his wound. We loaded him onto the intensive care ambulance and took him to the hospital. He was in moderate condition. He spoke with us and told us that while he was exercising he felt the stabbing and fell down.”
Earlier Tuesday, a Palestinian teenager from eastern Jerusalem carried out an unsuccessful stabbing attack against a border policeman at Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate. No injuries were reported, and the assailant was arrested.
In a separate incident on Tuesday, another Palestinian teenager armed with a knife was detained and arrested at the entrance of Karmei Tzur in the West Bank.
The attacks come a day after an 11-year-old Israeli boy was moderately wounded in Ramle, where he was allegedly stabbed by a 17-year-old Arab youth while walking home. Police say an investigation is ongoing as to whether Monday’s attack was criminal or nationalistically motivated.
According to Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency services, terrorists have killed 31 people and injured over 340 in 170 stabbings, 70 shootings, and 38 car-ramming attacks since September 13, 2015. Leading Palestinian officials, including Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, have been accused of inciting the violence and glorifying Palestinians terrorists who carry out attacks against Israelis.
Abbas consoled families of 11 Palestinian terrorists—including the relatives of a man who hacked a Jerusalem rabbi to death in October—during two separate meetings last week, calling the attackers “martyrs.” The first meeting took place hours after three Palestinian men gunned down an Israeli policewoman in Jerusalem. Fatah, the party led by Abbas, praised the shooters as “role models” on Wednesday.
The PA also joined the terrorist organizations Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in honoring an Arab-Israeli gunman who killed three people in Tel Aviv on New Year’s Day, saying he was “one of the most precious martyrs whose name has been inscribed with his pure blood that watered the soil of our free land.” Fatah similarly hailed the man, who died during a shootout with authorities, writing, “may Allah receive you in Heaven.”
