The terrorist group Hamas is facing ridicule on social media for displaying what it claimed to be a reconstructed Israeli tank that turned out be a wooden replica placed on top of a regular vehicle, Al-Bawaba, an independent news website featuring stories from around the Middle East, reported on Tuesday.
The “tank” was showcased during a parade in honor of seven terrorists who were killed last week when an attack tunnel collapsed on them.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) produced a clip, embedded below, with a translation of the propaganda speech that introduced the vehicle.
The terrorist organization was called out on Twitter, including by Ofir Gendelman, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s spokesperson for the Arab media.
Hamas paraded yesterday a "captured, rebuilt Israeli tank". FYI, tanks aren't made of wood and don't run on wheels. pic.twitter.com/cP1e8KFjAJ

Hamas has invested significant resources in rebuilding its terror infrastructure since its 2014 war against Israel. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh boasted last week that “In east Gaza there are heroes digging tunnels under the ground and in the west there are those testing rockets” in preparation for a war.
