Eetta Prince-Gibson is a multi-genre writer, academic and lecturer on Israeli society and politics. In January 2012, Eetta stepped down after more than five years as the editor-in-chief of The Jerusalem Report, Israel's foremost newsmagazine. Prior to assuming her position at The Jerusalem Report, she wrote for the Christian Science Monitor and served as a special correspondent for the Washington Post bureau in Jerusalem. Eetta's reporting and commentary has appeared in The Washington Post, the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Christian Science Monitor, Hadassah Magazine, the Progressive, Tablet and numerous other publications. She has reported from communities and crises situations around the world, including Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and Mumbai after the 2008 terrorist attacks. She has garnered several prestigious awards, including the Search for Common Ground Award for Reporting and Analysis on the Middle East. She hosts a regular talk show on Israel's All-for-Peace radio and is a frequent commentator for radio and TV, including CNN and the BBC, as well as Israeli TV and radio. She is an active member of two high-level dialogue groups composed of Israeli Arab and Jewish leaders and of a multi-cultural working group seeking sustainable solutions to the conflicts in Jerusalem, all sponsored by independent think tanks. Eetta is also a member of the Israeli branch of the prestigious "Inclusive Security Network," which works to advance women's roles in peace and security issues in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1325. Eetta is currently pursuing her PhD in women's studies and political psychology. She lives in Jerusalem with her husband, Dan, a professor at Hebrew University; their two children, Noa and Matan; and their floppy dog.
