Several members of a Hamas cell behind Monday’s suicide bombing of a Jerusalem bus have been arrested, Israeli security services disclosed Thursday.

The Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security service, said that several cell members from Bethlehem have been arrested following a manhunt that also included the IDF and police.

After authorities established that the explosion was a terror attack, Hamas and  Palestinian Islamic Jihad issued statements celebrating the attack.

Israeli officials have been tight-lipped about some aspects of the case, though it was eventually reported that the most severely injured person in the attack was the bomber. The identity of the bomber, 19-year-old Abad al-Hamid Abu Srour, was announced after he died on Wednesday by Hamas. Abu Srour’s father said he knew nothing of his son’s connection to Hamas.

The suicide attack interrupted several weeks of relative calm since the increase in terror attacks that began last September. Israel imposed a closure on the West Bank Thursday night due to what Israel’s Channel 10 described as “warnings, although not concrete” of attacks over the next few days. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed fears earlier this month that Palestinians leaders were increasing incitement ahead of Passover, which begins Friday night.

Israeli security forces have captured or broken up a number of Hamas cells in the West Bank over the past year, including a plot to assassinate Netanyahu.

Israel announced earlier this week that it had discovered and blocked off the first Hamas tunnel leading inside Israel since the summer 2014 war with the group.
