Abbas Met with Terrorists’ Families Hours After Israeli Policewoman Killed in Terror Attack

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas met with the families of terrorists, calling them “martyrs,” hours after Israeli policewoman Hadar Cohen was killed in a Jerusalem terror attack, Ynet reported Thursday.

At Abbas’ meeting, the families of 11 dead terrorists asked Abbas to demand that Israel return of the terrorists’ bodies. A video of the meeting was later posted to Abbas’ Arabic-language website, but was not posted on the website’s English version.

Among those who met with Abbas were the families of Baha Aliyan and Alaa Abu Jamal. Aliyan was one of the perpetrators of an October terror attack in Jerusalem that killed three. On that same day, Abu Jamal rammed his car into a crowd and then got out of the car and stabbed Rabbi Yeshayahu Krishevsky to death with a butcher knife. In November 2014, Abu Jamal’s cousins Ghassan and Uday Abu Jamal killed six people in a shooting and stabbing attack on a Jerusalem synagogue.

Abbas has previously expressed support for terrorists during the current wave of terror, in which 31 people have been killed and 302 injured. In October, Abbas accused Israel of “executing” teenage terrorist Ahmed Manasra, when, in fact, he was recovering in an Israeli hospital.

An Arabic-language video of the meeting is embedded below. The description refers to the terrorists as “martyrs of Jerusalem.”
