Iran Supplied Hezbollah New Missiles That Can “Hit Any Place in Israel”

Iranian sources have revealed that Iran supplied the terrorist organization Hezbollah with a new missile containing a large warhead that it claims can reach the Dimona nuclear reactor in southern Israel, the Ya-Libnan news site reported at the weekend, citing an Iranian news agency.

The FARS news agency, which is affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, reported that the new missile is of the Fatah “conqueror” design, which can hit targets at a range of 350 kilometers. This weapon is fitted with 500 kg warheads and can move at a speed of 1.5 kilometers per second (more than 3,300 miles per hour).

The Iranian news agency quoted Iranian Revolutionary  Guards Brigadier General Sayed Majid Moussavi as saying that the new missiles will allow Hezbollah to hit any place in Israel. FARS added that the most important factor in the Iranian strategy is to supply the resistance movements Hezbollah and Hamas with the right arms to confront “the bloodthirsty Zionist enemy.”

The announcement of the new weapons supply comes despite reports that Iran has decided cut 25% from the annual funding it sends to Hezbollah, its private proxy army in Lebanon. Hezbollah is considered one of the most powerful executive arms of Iran in the Middle East and it sent thousands of troops to help Iran in the fight against the rebels trying to topple Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Meanwhile, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayari announced that his force has successfully test-fired a newly-developed home-made torpedo that is an additional Iranian threat to shipping in the strategic Strait of Hormuz – the world’s main water highway for oil shipments.

“The torpedo can be fired by submarines, vessels and air defense systems,” Sayyari said at a press conference in Tehran.

Iran also plans to unveil new home-made missile-launching frigates and a radar system in the near future, Sayari said on Saturday. In September 2013 Sayyari said that the Iranian Navy was fully capable of manufacturing all its needed military tools and equipment.
