In the wake of today’s terror attack at a Jerusalem synagogue, Jake Tapper of CNN’s The Lead made a startling observation:
More people with American citizenship have been killed by Palestinian terrorists in the last year than have been killed by ISIS.
— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) November 18, 2014
The three Americans confirmed killed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) were journalists James Foley, Steven Sotloff and, most recently, aid worker Abdul-Rahman Peter Kassig.
However, seven American citizens have been killed by Palestinian terrorists in the past year. Naftali Fraenkel was one of the three teens kidnapped and killed near Hebron by a Hamas terror cell in June. Two IDF soldiers, Max Steinberg and Nissim Sean Carmeli, were killed fighting against Hamas this past summer during Operation Protective Edge, while three-month-old Chaya Zissel Braun was killed when a terrorist drove his car into a group of pedestrians at a Jerusalem light rail stop last month. In today’s terror attack, three Americans- Rabbi Mosheh Twersky, Rabbi Aryeh Kupinsky, and Rabbi Aryeh Kalman Levine– were killed, as was British citizen Rabbi Avraham Goldberg.
